FRESH: CARINE ROITFELD
Carine leaving French Vogue is the news of the week. Some people are treating it like she’s dead and isn’t coming back with something new that’s going to wow us. Just like when Tom Ford left Gucci to concentrate on “personal projects” (we all know what they are now - an instant classic men’s line, and one of the best debut films I’ve ever seen), we’ll have to wait and see what Ms. Roitfeld’s mind is cooking (as of now Tom Ford denies that they’re working on something together). Whatever it is, I’m looking forward to it.
Condé Nast will undoubtedly have their hands full trying to find a suitable replacement. Good luck to both.
